Extradition ruling of 'mp3 killer' adjourns in Warsaw
The Warsaw Court of Appeal adjourned a decision on the extradition of the main suspect in the Brussels mp3 murder this week.
The appeals court wanted to study the Polish Supreme Court's interpretation of the application of the European arrest warrant on a minor. In May the Warsaw Court approved of the extradition of the 17-year-old Polish suspect.
The extradition was granted on condition that the suspect Mr Adam G. would serve out his sentence in Poland rather than Belgium.
A definitive decision must now be handed down within 30 days.
G. is accused of stabbing teenager Joe Van Holsbeeck five times during a robbery at Brussels Central station for refusing to hang over his mp3 player to his assailants earlier this year. G. has been in remand detention since his arrest in Poland.
The co-accused in the murder, a 16-year-old Polish youth, was arrested in Belgium earlier this year.
